TIVAR® CleanStat White, the first FDA compliant and ATEX tested thermoplastic with permanent antistatic performance for pharmaceutical and food applications. New ultra-high-molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) TIVAR® CleanStat White is unique in combining good electrostatic dissipation (ESd), excellent wear resistance and food contact compliancy in a neutral / white colored material.
TIVAR CleanStat White addresses the increasing hygiene and safety demands of the pharmaceuticals and drugs processing industry, including conformity to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) handling requirements and compliance with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. The UHMW-PE has been developed to benefit specific applications, such as guiders for pill filling, drug pressing applications, pistons and valves for powder dosing, labeling and printing equipment. For the food processing & packaging sector it is also suitable for linings in sugar and flour processing, guiders for pudding
weighing and filling, as well as conveyor parts.
TIVAR CleanStat is a PE-UHMW grade for use in food processing and pharmaceutical industries. It exhibits static dissipative properties and has a food contact compliant composition.
TIVAR® CleanStat™ can cut downtime and fines build-up in a variety of applications. It eliminates static build-up problems, meets FDA, USDA and 3A-Dairy guidelines for food contact and exhibits a longer wearing, lower coefficient of friction sliding surface than stainless steel.
TIVAR® CleanStat™ can be easily fabricated into components and replacement parts that reduce noise levels in plants and require less frequent cleaning. Its welded design capabilities result in seamless welded components.
TIVAR H.O.T. [Higher Operating Temperature] is formulated to maintain inherent PE-UHMW key properties over an extended service temperature range, in this way considerably increasing part life in low load bearing applications up to temperatures as high as 125°C. Special additives reduce the oxidation rate of the material at higher temperatures thereby slowing down material degradation and extending wear-life. TIVAR H.O.T. also features a food contact compliant composition.
Formulated to maintain key performance properties in an extended temperature range, TIVAR® H.O.T. will excel in a variety of industrial manufacturing environments where temperatures range up to 275° F, nearly 100 higher than competing UHMW-PE formulations. TIVAR® H.O.T. reduces the oxidization rate of the material at higher temperatures thereby slowing material degradation and extending wear-life in chemical, elevated temperature and thermo-cycling environments. In many applications, TIVAR® H.O.T. will last up to 10 times longer in higher temperature environments and has excellent wear and release characteristics
TIVAR® H.O.T. is also a great material for use in conveyor systems or other equipment that is frequently exposed to chemical washdowns in such industries as poultry/meat processing and packaging. It can be also be used in applications ranging from wearstrips for spiral conveyors in the baking industry to drag conveyor flights for moving bulk materials in grain elevators, or wearstrips for conveyor dryers in drying and dehydrating systems.
This PE-UHMW grade with extremely high degree of polymerisation contains a metal detectable additive with does hardly affect the inherent PE-UHMW key properties. TIVAR MD presents excellent toughness and impact strength, an even improved wear and abrasion resistance when compared with TIVAR 1000, and it also features a food contact compliant composition (FDA- and 3A-Sanitary-Dairy-Standard compliant). TIVAR MD has been specifically tailored for use in the food processing and packaging industries where it can easily be traced by the conventional metal detection systems installed to detect contamination of the foodstuffs (results may vary depending on the sensitivity of the metal detection system used).
Thanks to the lubricant built into a PE-UHMW matrix with higher molecular weight, TIVAR DrySlide offers a lower coefficient of friction and enhanced wear and abrasion resistance than TIVAR 1000. The additives used also make this material static dissipative and considerably improve UV-resistance.
The enhanced coefficient of friction and anti-static properties make TIVAR DrySlide an excellent performer in dusty environments. Even damp boxes or parcels covered in shrink-wrap won't stick to TIVAR DrySlide. In addition, the enhanced surface lubricity won't mar packaging or products, but allow them to move freely without jamming from dirt, grit or static build-up.
This PE-UHMW grade with an extremely high degree of polymerization contains molybdenum disulphide, resulting in a material with improved wear resistance and sliding properties over TIVAR 1000.
TIVAR Cestidur (grey)/TIVAR DS (yellow) is a modified PE-UHMW with extremely high molecular weight. The latter in combination with a particular manufacturing process results in a PE-UHMW grade with superior wear and abrasion resistance over TIVAR 1000.
TIVAR CeramP is a wear improved PE-UHMW material with incorporated micro glass beads, specifically developed for use in the dewatering zone of high-speed paper machinery equipped with plastic wires and manufacturing paper with high abrasive filler content.
For high load, high speed and severe sliding abrasion applications, TIVAR Ceram P should be THE material of choice. Its high tensile strength and wear resistance have been successful in the lumber, paper, steel and agricultural industries. Composed of virgin polymer and premium additives, TIVAR Ceram P is a shatter-resistant alternative to sintered ceramics, reducing parts wear and machine maintenance downtime.
Recognized worldwide as the premium lining material for bulk material handling, TIVAR 88 is noted for its performance in promoting bulk solids flow of cohesive or non-free flowing materials due to its low surface friction. TIVAR 88 liners are the perfect solution when you need to reduce or eliminate arching, ratholing and erratic material flow challenges in bins, bunkers, hoppers and chutes, railcars, etc. Although every application is unique, some have specific environmental challenges. Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials has developed several proprietary formulation packages for TIVAR 88 that enhance certain properties without negatively impacting TIVAR 88's key properties.
For applications in outdoor environments that receive high exposure to ultra violet rays, TIVAR 88 UV Resistant prevents premature degradation of material.
Electro Static Dissipative
In dusty or volatile environments, TIVAR 88 ESd protects against the build-up of electrical charges.
TIVAR SuperPlus is a wear optimized, partially cross-linked PE-UHMW material with an extremely high degree of polymerization for use in most demanding applications and environments.
TIVAR Burnguard is a PE-UHMW grade containing a very effective non-halogenated flame retardant. Specifically developed to improve the poor flammability behaviour of straight forward virgin polyethylene, it meets the requirements of UL 94 V-0 as of 6 mm thickness and is self-extinguishing. The additives used also render this material static dissipative and considerably improve UV-resistance.
TIVAR 1000 ASTL, based on a PE-UHMW grade with extremely high molecular weight, has been specifically developed for tough anti-abrasion applications. TIVAR 1000 ASTL shows a higher wear and abrasion resistance and a lower surface resistivity than TIVAR 1000 ESD. The additives used also render this material static dissipative and highly UV-resistant.
TIVAR 1000 EC is a PE-UHMW grade containing specific additives rendering this material a lower surface resistivity than TIVAR 1000 ESD, improving electrical conductivity and UV-resistance.
