Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Chemplast proudly presents its range of elevator buckets designed to outperform other buckets by offering greater capacities, longer life, and cleaner discharges. The range of 35 different sizes are cast from Nylatron® GSM (grey) and Nylatron® 6M (ivory), cast nylon materials for ultimate strength and durability. Nylatron® GSM is modified with molybdenum disulphide that enhances this material's wear resistance significantly. These buckets are tough, light-weight and are available in a variety of sizes. All buckets are manufactured under controlled conditions for material strength consistency, ultrasonically scanned for structure consistency and stress relieved to provide a high quality product.

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials's cast sheaves are made from Nylatron® GSM, a cast nylon 6 material containing finely divided particles of molybdenum disulphide. This material offers excellent wear resistance, fatigue resistance and impact resistance. Nylatron® GSM sheaves reduce the overall equipment weight and protect metal mating surfaces. Nylatron® GSM nylon sheaves not only provide exceptional durability and performance in demanding applications, their unique combination of physical properties significantly improves wire rope life in operation. Wire rope running over a Nylatron® GSM nylon sheave can have its servicable life extended by as much as 600%. Equipment operation is improved as Nylatron® GSM nylon is lighter and self-lubricating.

Nylatron® GSM sheaves are corrosion resistant and therefore commonly used in offshore lifting equipment; Other applications are: gears, bearings & sprockets.
Nylatron® can absorb up to 7% (by weight) water under high humidity or submerged in water. This can result in dimensional changes up to 2% and a corresponding change of physical properties. Proper design techniques can frequently compensate for this factor. Nylatron® traditionally replaced ferrous and non-ferrous metals in machine construction. bronze bearings are a typical example of metal substitution.
Nylatron® materials are stress relieved which allows for machining to fine tolerances. it weighs 7 times less than bronze, resulting in better, safer material handling, easier machining and reduced energy consumption in operation. In most instances it is significantly lower in cost.
