Ertalyte® Sterra™ PET-P
Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate PolyesterErtalyte® Sterra™ is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline PET-P that is characterized by its excellent wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, high strength, and resistance to moderately acidic solutions. Ertalyte® Sterra™ is capable of sustaining high loads, and retains more of its original strength up to 180° F / 85° C than nylons or acetals. Due to these characteristics, Ertalyte® Sterra™ components are a favored solution for bearing and structural applications throughout the pharmaceutical, food processing and packaging, and oil and gas industries.
As part of the Sterra™ product portfolio, Ertalyte® Sterra™ contains recycled PET-P and therefore is associated with a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to similar materials derived from non-recycled feedstocks. For details, please refer to the respective environmental datasheet.
