Vink Holdings and Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials strengthen collaboration

Vink Holdings Ltd (Vink), the largest European distributor of plastic shapes, and Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials AG (MCAM), a leading global manufacturer of high-performance materials, today announce to reshape and strengthen their collaboration. On November 30, 2020, MCAM and Vink have entered into agreement to acquire the distribution activities of MCAM in Poland and Hungary. The closing of the transactions is expected in February 2021.

With this agreement, Vink will take over all distribution activities and assets of MCAM in Poland and Hungary, as well as current agreements with customers and all employees related to these activities.

“As Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials (MCAM), we have historic distribution activities in Hungary and Poland. As a manufacturer and solution provider, however, we want to build more on our strength in developing and producing new solutions out of advanced materials with our customers. This is where we want to focus our activities and grow. We are extremely happy that with Vink, we have the best partner to hand over our distribution activities in Poland and Hungary. For our customers, this offers more synergies in the full access to all Vink product groups to complement our offering. We are convinced that in this constellation customers in Poland and Hungary will benefit from both, MCAM’s development and manufacturing power as well as Vink’s service and distribution capabilities.”, says Stefan Willing, President & General Manager, MCAM Europe.

“Vink is very happy with this move. It allows us to expand our existing plastic distribution and customer activities in Hungary. Furthermore, we will from now on have a distribution center in Poland to offer our full range of plastic products to Polish customers. Our delivery program includes, but goes beyond, MCAM’s advanced materials. Therefore, our customers will be able to benefit from our complete range and reach. Vink can source and supply whatever plastics are needed by our customers to achieve their goals. Our goal is customer satisfaction and a smooth transition of the business we take over in Poland and Hungary.”, says David Williams, CEO.

Vink Holdings with its sister companies around the world and Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials have been collaborating in the distribution and manufacturing of plastics shapes for many years. The global reach and partnership to serve customers includes activities in 26 countries around the globe representing the largest distribution and manufacturing network for engineering plastics.
